Sustainability of the arts ecosystem

Entrepreneurship Zones

The Entrepreneurship Zones are part of a series of actions that the Instituto Distrital de las Artes - Idartes has implemented to promote the reactivation and cultural and economic stabilization of Bogotá. They are a marketing platform designed exclusively to promote the businesses of the different agents of the artistic and cultural ecosystem of the city, as well as to promote the development of their entrepreneurial abilities and skills.

In addition, the Entrepreneurship Zones stand out for having a wide potential to generate a rapprochement between entrepreneurs and their market niches, supporting the strengthening of value chains and contributing to the economic sustainability of the sector, promoting circulation, networking and innovation of practices and trades related to art and culture in Bogotá.

Historically, the Entrepreneurship Zones have been present in the Festivals Colombia, SalsaJazz, Hip Hop and Rock al Parque, the Festival de Teatro y Circo, Serenata Rap, and most recently in the activities of the Network of Independent Spaces (REI, for the Spanish original).

This is a joint effort with the Secretariat of Economic Development (SDDE, for the Spanish original) and its Made in Bogotá strategy, which aims to encourage the consumption of products and services created by local producers and entrepreneurs as a positioning instrument for the city’s economy.
