Maps
Maps: Collaborative Routes, Innovation and Sustainability is a strategy of the Instituto Distrital de las Artes - Idartes whose main objective is to identify and disseminate the innovative practices and processes that are generated in the different localities of Bogotá and that contribute significantly to the consolidation of the city’s artistic and cultural ecosystem.
In addition, this strategy seeks to promote collaborative work and the construction of networks between artists, organizations, collectives and, in general, among all the people who make artistic practices possible from different roles and trades, as an alternative to strengthen creative processes and promote the exchange of knowledge and experiences related to art and culture.
To this end, a series of laboratories are held each year, focused on knowledge management, collaborative networks, information systems and experimentation of art, science and technology, which are aimed at artists, cultural managers and agents in the sector. Also noteworthy is the work articulated with the Art, Science and Technology Line of Idartes and its CKWeb proyect, or the implementation of spaces that promote the exchange of experiences related to creative proposals in the digital context and artistic practices developed through technology.
In addition, the Maps strategy has assisted the training processes of public space artists of the Arte a la KY program of Idartes, as well as peasant organizations participating in The Seed and collectives that work in The Castle of the Arts, with which progress has been made on topics related to digital platforms and information systems, creative writing, portfolio development and design thinking or graphic proposals, among others.
hese pedagogical, interaction and exchange actions will allow the construction of a data map of Bogotá’s artistic and cultural ecosystem, which will be carried out in coordination with the GeoClick, information system, in order to lay out the path for innovation, reactivation and sustainability of art and culture in Bogotá.
