The Idartes Social Sectors team plays a crucial role in the orientation, monitoring, control and evaluation of various initiatives. These are not isolated activities, but are carried out within the framework of public policies focused on specific populations such as women, groups of different ages and social classes. These policies have a significant scope: they seek to contribute effectively to the construction of an inclusive society that respects cultural diversity. In particular, the team works hard to reduce persistent social phenomena such as discrimination, segregation and inequality of opportunities. This multidimensional approach is essential to guarantee the effective enjoyment and exercise of cultural rights in various sectors of the population. Each project or program is carefully designed to suit the cultural needs and aspirations of the target groups, thus fostering greater social cohesion.
This team not only focuses on policies and programs, but also leads and coordinates activities on the ground, especially in different communities and territories of Bogotá. Its actions focus on strengthening the articulation between the programs and projects managed by its Management Units, with a double purpose:
First, it increases the institutional presence in various areas of the city. This is achieved through meticulous analysis and a deep understanding of local realities and challenges.
Second, it seeks to establish a constructive dialogue with cultural, artistic and population communities that allows identifying needs, sharing resources and promoting inclusion.
