Core Mission Line of Work - Social Sectors

Social Sectors and Territories focuses on population, age, and gender groups, such as:

  • Population: Victims of trafficking, migrants, people with disabilities and caregivers, victims of the armed conflict, reincorporated and reintegrated people, those involved in paid sexual activities, the phenomenon of habitability in the street; people deprived of liberty and post-convicts.
  • Gender: Women and gender, LGBTI. Age Groups: Adults, older people and youth.

It therefore works with a multidimensional approach, in which issues of gender, sexual and generational diversity are addressed. It focuses on promoting social inclusion, equal cultural rights and the transformation of social perceptions through participation in cultural and artistic activities such as discussions, artistic creation laboratories, exhibitions, artistic showings and community events. These activities are carried out in different localities and territories of Bogotá, especially in areas considered vulnerable.

Commitments:

Generate dialogue meetings with social sectors, population groups and citizens in general to publicize the strategic objectives and priorities of the new Bogotá Walks Safe District Development Plan regarding diversity, through the arts and through dialogue with the Roundtables for the Participation of the Arts of the Social Sectors.

Develop the actions required for the execution of the products within the scope of IDARTES, in the framework of public policies based on the differential population and territorial approach as a commitment to interculturality and citizen participation.
