Relevant Activities in 2024
District Meeting of the Arts of the Social Sectors
The District Meeting of the Arts of the Social Sectors announced the results of the processes that were carried out with the social sectors for their contribution in the appropriation, transmission and vindication from the arts, to contribute to the construction of cultural citizenship and transformation of beliefs.
The conference was held on August 23, it lasted eight hours and took place at the facilities of the Universidad ECCI, center campus, with the following activities: 5 discussion with the following components: Women, prisoners and post-convicts, LGBTI social sectors, habitability in the street; 6 capsules with the winners of the 2024 Creation and Circulation Grant in Art and Sexual Diversity; 21 artistic exhibitions resulting from the artistic creation laboratories of the Social Sectors; exhibitions, such as the Petit Point, on the prevention of human trafficking; “clothesline” exposition with the process of artistic laboratories related to habitability in the street; artistic showings of the laboratories with people with disabilities and with people deprived of liberty and post-convicts; artistic showing of migrants; and a press conference with the participation of local community media with sign language interpretation
Participation tables of the Arts of the Social Sectors
Roundtables for the Participation of the Arts of the Social Sectors: Spaces for meeting and dialogue with social sectors and population groups around the balance of the actions of IDARTES in the face of the artistic practices they develop, their contributions towards the recognition of needs and demands related to the artistic field, which has contributed to decision-making and the implementation of the entity’s actions to strengthen the participation of populations in the arts of the city.
The ten Roundtables of the Social Sectors and population groups held were: Migrants, Refugees and Returnees; Victims of the Internal Armed Conflict; LGBTI; Phenomenon of Habitability in the Street (FHCLL, for the Spanish original); People Who Carry Out Paid Sexual Activities (PRASP, for the Spanish original); People with Disabilities and Caregivers of People with Disabilities; Youth; Seniors; Women and Gender Equality; and a general roundtable that brings together the nine social sectors.
