Santa Fe

The Santa Fe locality is part of the traditional center of the city, along with La Candelaria. Much of colonial and early twentieth-century Bogotá was located in this area. Government and corporate buildings stand out, as well as the headquarters of some of the main universities in the country, the banking sector on Avenida Jiménez, and the traditional neighborhood of San Victorino, one of the axes of Bogotá’s commerce since colonial times. The locality has a rural part corresponding to the eastern hills of Monserrate and Guadalupe.
