Projects and Programs

Based on the coordination of products and actions within the framework of the artistic governance of ethnic communities, the following projects and programs that directly benefit the communities and strengthen the artistic abilities of these communities have been defined: 

1. Art in Growth: Weaving the Artistic Future of the Roma People Residing in Bogotá

  • Objective: To promote the artistic and cultural development of the Roma people.
  • Activities: Artistic training workshops, exhibitions and cultural presentations.
  • Expected outcomes: Strengthening of cultural identity and visibility of Roma art.

2. Meeting of Voices: Art and Diversity of Black and Afro-Colombian Communities Residing in Bogotá

  • Objective: To promote the cultural and artistic diversity of black and Afro-Colombian communities.
  • Activities: Festivals, concerts, and art workshops.
  • Expected outcomes: Greater recognition and appreciation of Afro-Colombian artistic expressions.

3. Ancestral Art: Healing and Creativity in Artistic Processes Associated with the Roundtable for the Participation of Victims from Black, Afro-Colombian, Raizal and Palenquera Communities Residing in Bogotá

  • Objective: To use art as a tool for healing and rebuilding memory.
  • Activities: Art therapies, exhibitions and creative workshops.
  • Expected outcomes: Healing processes and community strengthening through art.

4. Creative Dialogues of the Raizal Population Residing in the City: Transforming Identities Through Art

  • Objective: To facilitate the artistic and cultural expression of the Raizal population.
  • Activities: Creative meetings, workshops and exhibitions.
  • Expected outcomes: Transformation and strengthening of Raizal cultural identities.

5. Palenquero Art: Weaving Traditions, Autonomy and Transformation in the City of Bogotá

  • Objective: To preserve and promote the Palenquera artistic traditions.
  • Activities: Art workshops, cultural presentations and exhibitions.
  • Expected outcomes: Cultural autonomy and visibility of Palenquera traditions.

6. Creative Roots: Enhancing the Artistic Practices of Other Indigenous Organizational Forms

  • Objective: To support and enhance the artistic practices of indigenous communities.
  • Activities: Artistic training, cultural meetings and exhibitions.
  • Expected outcomes: Strengthening of indigenous artistic practices and their visibility.

7. Weaving Roots: Art of the Indigenous Peoples and Councils of the City that Make Up the Autonomous Space, District Decree 612/2015

  • Objective: To promote the art and culture of indigenous peoples and councils.
  • Activities: Workshops, exhibitions and cultural events.
  • Expected outcomes: Greater visibility and recognition of indigenous cultures.

8. Seeds of Muisca Art in the Bosa Council: Creation, Training and Artistic Circulation of the Indigenous People of the City of Bogotá

  • Objective: To promote the creation and artistic circulation of the Muisca people.
  • Activities: Training workshops, artistic creation and circulation events.
  • Expected outcomes: Strengthening of the Muisca cultural identity and its visibility.

9. Weaving Roots: Art from the Suba Muisca Council of the City of Bogotá

  • Objective: To promote the art and culture of the Suba Muisca Council.
  • Activities: Art workshops, exhibitions and cultural events.
  • Expected outcomes: Greater visibility and recognition of the Suba Muisca culture.

10. Ancestral Art: Healing and Creativity in Artistic Processes Associated with the Roundtable for the Participation of Victims from Indigenous Peoples (MPVI, for the Spanish original) Residents in the City of Bogotá

  • Objective: To use art as a tool for healing and rebuilding memory for indigenous victims.
  • Activities: Art therapies, creative workshops and exhibitions.
  • Expected outcomes: Healing processes and community strengthening through art.

11. Bakatá Strategy for Ethnic Communities Residing in Bogotá

  • Objective: To implement a comprehensive strategy for the support and promotion of ethnic communities.
  • Activities: Circulation in unconventional spaces, development of scenic spaces associated with artistic processes of Idartes, curatorial processes, digital participation tools.
  • Expected outcomes: Strengthening ethnic communities and their integration into the cultural life of the city through an intercultural approach.

12. Afro Sample

  • Objective: To make visible and celebrate Afro-Colombian culture in Bogotá.
  • Activities: Audiovisual samples, exhibitions, artistic presentations and workshops.
  • Expected outcomes: Greater recognition and appreciation of Afro-Colombian culture.

13. Mentors of Cultural Invitations

  • Objective: To provide mentorship and support to artists from ethnic communities.
  • Activities: Mentoring sessions, workshops and advice.
  • Expected outcomes: Professional and artistic development of the participants.

14. Scholarships in Any Area and Dimension of Arts for Ethnic Communities

  • Objective: To offer training and artistic development opportunities to members of ethnic communities.
  • Activities: Scholarship programs in various artistic disciplines.
  • Expected outcomes: Increased access to artistic training and talent development in ethnic communities.
