It is an exercise in memory that began in 2017 with the meeting Bodies Consecrated to the Stage, which was held within the framework of the 10th Festival Danza en la Ciudad, to establish a dialogue between Costa Rica and Colombia around the scenic experience of dancers over 50 years old. Since then, the Instituto Distrital de las Artes (Idartes), through the Dance Department, set itself the challenge of summoning teachers over 55 years old with the purpose of nurturing dialogue and the exchange of experiences and knowledge of dance with the new generations. This is an ongoing task that seeks to recognize the people who have dedicated their lives to this artistic practice in the city of Bogotá and promote the memory of dance in the city.
