What Is It?

It is a tool designed by the Instituto Distrital de las Artes (IDARTES) through its Dance Department that aims to invite workshop leaders, teachers, choreographers and collectives that wish to share their knowledge with the public, to form a base of proposals of different nature that allow feeding the various lines of action of The Casona de la Danza, both in its facilities and in the places managed for the territorial extension of its program.

Interested persons can submit their proposals by filling out this form, which will be open from January 15 to June 30, 2025.

Through the Dance and Community axis, an in-depth review of the proposals will be made, and an assessment will be conducted based on the following criteria to select those that will be part of the training program.

1. Profile of the Artist-Trainer

It refers to the track record in experience and training of the proposing artist-trainer: degrees, certifications, courses and years of teaching.

  • Two years of certified experience as a teacher or workshop leader in processes related to dance and movement.
  • Have completed or be pursuing formal, informal, or non-formal dance-related studies.

2. Quality and Relevance of the Proposal:

It refers to the relevance and contribution that the proposal will provide to the dancing and non-dancing community of the city.

  • Innovation and creativity of the proposal.

3. Target Audience:

It refers to the relevance and contribution that the proposal will provide to the community with a differential population approach.

  • Have experience in community dance processes that have benefited populations with a differential approach.

4. Modality:

It refers to whether the proposal is in-person, virtual or hybrid.

  • Possibility of carrying out the activity in any modality.

2023

In 2023, fifty-six (56) proposals, teachers, workshop leaders, collectives and schools in all genres of dance were received. The proposed themes were:

  • Seven (7) related to national and international folklore
  • Two (2) related to ballet
  • Five (5) related to urban dance
  • Eight (8) related to contemporary dance
  • Nine (9) related to dance and health
  • One (1) related to flamenco
  • Four (4) related to Afro dance
  • Eleven (11) associated with various topics
  • Five (5) related to salsa
  • Two (2) related to tango
  • Two (2) related to oriental dances

Of these fifty-six (56) proposals, thirty-six (36) were accepted in the program.
